GPS is honest about your own load. It is silent about the press that caused the sprint. Opposition, and the game, live in the picture.
Catapult, STATSports and KINEXON are serious instruments. They measure the players who agreed to wear them. They do not measure the other ten, or the eleven you will face on Saturday, or the centre-back you are trying to sign from a clip.
Optical tracking from video is how both teams enter the same language. Wearables still win on internal load, collisions, heart rate. The honest architecture is both — and one chain that stamps the GPS file and the frame equally, because sleep and medical numbers will eventually sit next to the sprint.
A vest cannot see the other team. A closed chain can still protect what the vest *did* see.
